Diane beat the odds. After a fall, rib fractures, and ongoing chemotherapy, she came to us requiring total assist. With determination and the support of PT and OT, she returned to her assisted living community stronger than before—now transferring with minimal help and walking up to 100 feet with a rolling walker.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

At Neville Center, we proudly stand with survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and support the ongoing fight against breast cancer. Our team and residents came together to raise awareness and show solidarity by wearing pink and sharing in activities that spread hope and strength.

Innovation in Action at Neville Center

Our BreatheWell program combines advanced technology with personalized care to help our patients breathe more easily and live better.

Here, one of our therapists is working with a patient using OmniFlow®, an interactive respiratory therapy system designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and effective. Alongside this, our use of ARA® for Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) allows us to closely track progress and ensure individualized care plans.

After a fall, Teresa came to us unable to walk and relying on a mechanical lift for transfers. With the support of her therapy team, she regained strength, mobility, and independence—now walking 150 feet with a rolling walker and completing her daily activities with confidence.

Her words say it all: “Jennifer and Maddie helped me a lot with exercise to get better. They taught me how to walk again. I feel successful.”

Our residents were treated to a glamorous brunch inspired by the classic film. Carol, our talented Food Service Director, wowed everyone with a beautiful homemade display of decadent pastries, fresh fruit, and elegant breakfast favorites.

After a hospital visit for mobility challenges following spinal surgery, Robert came to Neville Center needing help with daily activities and balance. With the combined support of our physiatry team, therapy, and nursing, Robert regained independence with bathing, dressing, and walking—and even climbed 44 stairs before discharge.

“Not only did they help with my current state but also catered to my past injuries and helped me with everything.”
