🌱 May Recap: Growing Connections, Building Communities, Supporting Agriculture 🌱
May was a busy and exciting month across Noble, Guernsey, and Morgan Counties as we recognized Mental Health Awareness Month while continuing to support our local agricultural communities.
Throughout the month, we hosted multiple Brewing Connections and Back 40 Connections events, creating opportunities for farmers, families, and community members to connect, learn, and discuss rural mental health, farmer wellness, and available resources.
One of the highlights of the month was having the opportunity to travel to the Ohio Statehouse and present before the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, sharing about the importance of agricultural mental health and the work being done to support our rural communities.
We also celebrated several exciting community projects:
🌻 The Noble County Community Garden was officially launched.
🌻 The Guernsey County Educational Raised Beds were installed and already being used to educate community members during the Farmer Breakfast on container and raised-bed gardening.
🌻 Planning continues for the full Guernsey County Community Garden, with a target launch in 2027.
May also included participation Ag School Days, where we had the opportunity to engage with students from Noble and Guernsey Counties and help connect youth with agriculture through hands-on learning experiences.
None of this work would be possible without the partnerships, volunteers, organizations, and community members who continue to support these efforts. Thank you to everyone who attended an event, shared resources, volunteered their time, or helped start a conversation.
Together, we are strengthening agriculture by strengthening the people and communities behind it. 💚
