Established in 2010, the program at Amazing Grace Equine Therapy.

enhances the lives of children and adults with disabilities or chronic illness through the use of a variety of Equine Assisted Activity programs such as Therapeutic Riding, Equine Facilitated Learning, and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. Our site provides a refreshing departure from conventional clinical treatment facilities, where participants can benefit from the use of an outdoor and indoor r

iding arena, restored historic barn, and wooded walking and riding trails all designed in compliance with ADA and PATH Intl. established requirements and standards. Equine Assisted Activities have been shown to improve self-control, increase risk-taking capacity, encourage teamwork, and bolster confidence and self-esteem. Individuals with physical disabilities benefit primarily through the movements of the horse, which strengthen and support the natural motion of the spine and pelvis. Riding also builds and tones muscles; improves flexibility, balance, and coordination; and fosters greater freedom of movement. Those with cognitive or learning impairments can improve their attention span, communication and language skills, and concentration and memory. Our equine program currently serves individuals affected by Autism, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Disabilities, Sensory Disorders, and other many conditions.

Horse Feeding Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, or Monday afternoon from 4:00p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (it could be later if necessary).

Spring Session ~ 10 Weeks ~ 3/25/25 through 5/31/25

We are located at 12956 N. Slideoff Rd, Camby, IN 46113

We offer an incredible experience of helping those with various ability levels and witnessing our horses' healing and developmental powers.

Our volunteers help our riders prepare their horses for lessons, lead their horses while riding, and provide support and interaction to the rider throughout the lesson.

We Prefer Those Who Have Had Horse Experience In The Past. This work can be strenuous at times, so please have the strength and stamina to help in our lessons.

Therapeutic Riding Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Horse Feeding Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, or Monday afternoon from 4:00p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (it could be later if necessary).

HORSE BARN MANAGER ~ Part Time

~ Amazing Grace Equine Therapy ~ located in Camby, IN 46113

~ 10 Hours/Wk. – 8:00 am to 10:00 am ~ Additional Hours May Be Available

We are looking for an experienced horse person who is experienced with horses and knows their way around a horse farm ~ 14+ therapy horses.

• Perform and manage morning horse operations, including bring- in/turning-out, feeding grain, supplements, and hay. All our horses are turned out and only come in for feeding and lessons.

• Barn Maintenance ~ Minimal Stall Cleaning

• Fence Repair – must know how to repair hotwire fencing

• Tack Maintenance

We will conduct lessons from December 10, 2024, to February 23, 2025.
We will not conduct lessons the week of Christmas.

We are located at 12956 N. Slideoff Rd, Camby, IN 46113

We offer an incredible experience of helping those with various ability levels and witnessing the horses' healing and developmental power. Our volunteers help our riders prepare their horses for lessons, lead their horses while riding, and provide support and interaction to the rider throughout the lesson. One of the best things about Amazing Grace is the fun we have interacting with our incredible horses and riders.

No horse experience is required, as training will be provided.

Therapeutic Riding Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Horse Feeding Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. could be later if necessary)

WINTER THERAPEUTIC RIDING SESSION - Starting December 10, 2024 and Ending February 23, 2025. We will not conduct lessons the week of Christmas.

Lessons are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursday evenings at 5:00pm or 6:15pm and on Saturday mornings at 9:30am, 10:45am and 12:00 Noon. Each lesson lasts for one hour.

We conduct 4, ten-week sessions – Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. However, enrollment is open year-round. All our facilities are heated!

Therapeutic Riding lessons are designed for children and adults with physical, cognitive, psychological, behavioral, and developmental disabilities and are intended to improve the overall quality of life of the rider.

Equine Therapy also has a significant healing ability to help those who are survivors of Trauma in their lives.

Our lessons are designed to meet the individual needs and goals of each rider based on an initial assessment of each client's goals, skills, and abilities. Our specially trained horses and staff ensure that each rider has a unique opportunity to reach their potential in a safe, fun, and relaxed environment.

Amazing Grace Equine Therapy is now a Licensed Mental Health Clinic.

Offering the EAGALA Model of mental health therapy, Amazing Grace is providing care to those who have experienced trauma, abuse, TBI, loss, substance abuse, as well as other mental health struggles With the guidance of a licensed Mental Health Professional, a certified Equine Specialist and our incredible Therapy Horses, the EAGALA method provides non-talk therapy as a means of healing through interacting with horses from the ground, in a private therapeutic setting. Research has shown EAGALA therapy to be an effective alternative to traditional talk therapy.
