• Assist in the care and habilitation of individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
• Supervise the conduct, physical cleanliness, and behavior of the individuals in the home.
• Carryout housekeeping functions as directed.
• Work directly with individuals in order to help meet their social, physical, personal, and emotional needs.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Assist in providing a supportive, home-like environment.
• Assist in assuring the well-being and safety of each individual.
• Participate in designated training sessions and staff meetings.
• Document incidents, daily happenings, and individuals’ progress.
• Work is performed under general supervision of a Home Manager, Program Manager, and the Administrator.
• Prepare, serve, and supervise meals during work hours.
• Monitor household, habilitation, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to and from appointments, field trips, etc. as instructed.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor and document accordingly.
• When on duty overnight, be responsive to individuals’ needs.
• Implement Individual Service Plans and Plans of Care, as instructed by a licensed doctor, nurse, or the County Board of DD.
