July is dry eye awareness month:
To help relieve dry eyes, try using artificial tears, warm compresses, and ensuring adequate hydration, and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy is a treatment option for dry eyes, particularly those caused by meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). It works by reducing inflammation, improving meibomian gland function, and potentially eliminating harmful bacteria or mites on the eyelids. Ask us about our IPL machine to see if it is a good option for you!

Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a common condition where the eyes don't produce enough tears or the tears evaporate too quickly, leading to discomfort and potential vision problems. Some symptoms include: Burning, stinging, or scratchy sensation in the eyes.
Redness and irritation. blurred vision, especially when reading or using a computer.
Feeling of having sand or grit in the eyes.
Excessive tearing (watery eyes) due to irritation.
Light sensitivity.
Mucus discharge.
