It’s important to understand that you have to TAKE refuge in the Lord. It’s not just enough to know that God is our refuge (hiding place sheltering us from the enemy). You may have a storm cellar but when the tornado alarms go off, it’s not enough to just have a storm cellar, you must get in it. Also, you don’t wait until the tornado alarm goes off to start building your storm shelter. We take refuge in the Lord by getting into His Word. Don’t wait until tragedy strikes to go find your answer. Develop a Bible reading plan and do it daily. You will be amazed when the Holy Spirit reveals a truth to you and then you face a tragedy and know exactly what to do. Do what He had shown you and find that your test has become a testimony. Your mess becomes a message. Take refuge in the Lord. Get in His Word. You will thank me later.
