Roxanne Alice White, age 61, of rural Prairie Farm, WI entered her eternal rest on Sunday, March 8th, 2026 at home with hospice and surrounded by her loving family. God needed another angel and she was welcomed. She was born on March 26th, 1964 to Otto & Barbara (Kurschner) Bender at Rice Lake, WI. With Robin as her older sister, Roxanne would be the tag along with Robin’s friends. The girls had the most wonderful babysitter, Ada Wiseman, during their developmental years. Ada’s brother, Roy, also did rocking & walking them one block to school. Roxanne attended Prairie Farm Schools, graduating in 1982. She was active in all sports. Grandpa Elmer bought her a black Oldsmobile. After graduation, she attended WITC where she took computer classes. During the summer she went to work with her dad cropping on the eviscerating line at Jerome’s Turkey Store. It was there she met Russell White as he was doing the same work. She then got a job with Impact Seven where she worked for seven years. Then came an opening at Cardinal FG in Menomonie where she would spend her remaining years. She wore many hats, doing many jobs. She loved her work, her Cardinal family & never minded the drive. She was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church, rural Prairie Farm, serving in all areas; Lay Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendant, youth leader, song director, etc. Remember the “Long Black Train”. On September 12th, 1987, she was united in marriage to Russell White at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm. They lived in the village until building at 640 County Road P. After 12 years, she was so happy to be pregnant with Jeremy and the two had a close bond. She and Russ shared 39 ½ years of love, laughter & happiness. Roxanne was an inspirational, creative & crafty girl. She learned to knit & crochet in 4-H. One year she earned “Grand Champion” of all exhibits at the Prairie Farm Fair with her counted cross stitch work. Things had to be perfect! She had her “green thumb” from her great grandma Tena. In 2014 she started a memorial garden on the Faith United Methodist Church property & continued to maintain it each year. She spent many hours working in the soil with plants & flowers. She was Minnie Pearl at our “Hee Haw Show” & performed in many skits. She was a member of the Hay River Quilters, volunteered & served on the board of Mission Restoring Hope & also volunteered at Country Playhouse Preschool. Armand William “Bud” Fortier was born on October 25, 1941, to Dora and Armand Fortier. He passed peacefully after a courageous seven-day battle with Influenza A that led to significant breathing complications. After thoughtful reflection, he made his choice to be at peace, surrounded by love. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1966. He first married Carole LaMere and together they welcomed two children, Becky and Larry. Later, he married Bonnie and lovingly adopted three additional children, expanding his heart and his family. From childhood, Bud dreamed of living off the land in a cabin in the woods. That lifelong dream became reality when he met Madelyn. Together they built and lived in the home (cabin) he built in Akeley, Minnesota, where they shared more than 30 years surrounded by the peace and simplicity of nature he cherished. In his final year, Bud lived near his daughter, Becky, at Nature’s Edge Therapy Center in what he designed and affectionately called his “barndominium”. Bud loved his family with all of his heart. He found joy in serving in the town of Akeley, making clocks, crafting stained glass, playing cards, gardening, cooking and treating his guests like royalty.

Following the service, those wishing to gather and share a meal are invited to join the family at his favorite restaurant, China Buffet.

Bud will be remembered for his independent nature, his positive attitude, craftsmanship, devotion to his family and his unwavering love. He will be deeply missed and loved always. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas, WI.

C. Lowell “Bud” Olson, age 78 of Dallas, died January 26, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire following two major strokes. Bud was born on June 24, 1947, in Amery, WI to Curtiss and Florence (Siebrecht) Olson. Bud and his five younger siblings grew up on a dairy farm near Little Falls where the daily routine of chores and living close to the land set the tone for Bud’s life. Bud graduated from Amery High School in 1965 and was drafted into the Army the following year, eventually being deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning stateside in 1968, he worked for Caterpillar in Peoria, Ill., then Friday Canning Company and trucking and dispatching at Doboy Feeds in New Richmond, all while helping out his dad and brothers at home when he could. In 1978, he came back to the home farm for good - or so he thought. In 1988, a neighbor introduced Bud to a friend of his that just happened to live on a dairy farm in the next county over. Her name was Pat Berg, and her extroverted nature complemented Bud’s shy and unassuming manner well. After striking up a friendship over things in common and their shared Lutheran faith, he married her on her family’s farm a couple of miles east of Dallas on August 12, 1989. Bud and Pat took over her family farm and welcomed their son, Samuel John, on July 31, 1991. Together they built a life milking cows, growing crops, going to church, and raising Sam with the Christian values that they held dear. Sam grew up and married his college sweetheart, Brittany Statz, in 2016, which allowed Bud and Pat to mostly retire from farming. Living on the farm following retirement from milking cows allowed Bud to help out when and where he could on the farm. When Sam and Brittany finally gave Bud and Pat a grandchild in 2022, Bud wholeheartedly embraced being a grandpa to Titus, who he affectionately called P***y. Bud enjoyed farming and living a simple life close to the land, but his real pride and joy was his family. He was a gentle soul, and we will miss his quiet yet steadfast presence in our lives dearly.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Curtiss and Florence Olson; in-laws, Harold and Doris Berg; and brothers-in-law Mike Conlow, Mike Mikla, and Reynold Petersen. He is survived by his wife, Pat Olson; his son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Brittany Olson; grandson, Titus Olson; sisters, Kay Conlow of Surprise, AR,, Barb (Lonnie) Bendixen of Barnes, and Becky Mikla of Hammond; brothers, Craig and Chuck Olson of Amery; sister-in-law, Barbara Petersen of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8 at 1:30 P.M. at Dallas Lutheran Church with Pastor Adam Klefstad presiding, followed by burial at the Dallas Cemetery with full military honors at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday. Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the emergency department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron and the critical care and neurology units at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire for their care following Bud’s strokes.
