Waypoint Recovery Center

Waypoint Recovery Center We help individuals and families recover from substance use disorders. We provide services for adults with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis.

We also address individuals with co-occurring disorders (e.g. anxiety, bipolar, depression, PTSD, etc.). Our services include, but are not limited to: clinical assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, alumni services, continuing care, and a comprehensive intensive outpatient program. In all of our treatment services we promote individualized treatment, a holistic and strengths-based approach, engagement with a supportive community, and utilization of evidence-based therapies in order to connect with people and walk with them in their journey.

Some early mornings, our CEO, Turner James, takes a walk around the property with his dogs, Beau and Scout. Yesterday, he shared this special moment:

“As I walked around the lake this morning at Waypoint Recovery Center, Beau and Scout paused and sat down by each other! Beau gently looked back at our facility as to say this is a beautiful place and it really is a great place for anybody to start their recovery here!”

Moments like these remind us how peaceful and meaningful the recovery environment can be at Waypoint. 💚

"A bottle of water can be $1 at the grocery store, $2 at the gym, $3 at the movies and $6 on a plane, all the same water. The only thing that changed its value was the place. So next time you feel your worth is nothing, maybe you're in the wrong place.”

We loved welcoming members of the Summit BHC team to Waypoint last week!

Jamie Carter, Eastern Group President, Melissa Patton, Chief Nursing Officer, and Jack Pollon, Director of Quality & Patient Safety joined us for a visit.

It was a great opportunity to spend time with the team, tour the campus, and highlight some of the incredible work happening every day to support patients and our mission to improve the lives we touch. 🧡

The dangers of substance use disorder (SUD) can look different from person to person. For some families, it may mean their loved one’s health or relationships deteriorate. For other people, SUD may mean that holding down a job and or enjoying any kind of stability is impossible.

The point is that substance use affects different parts of life for different folks. And while there’s no single world’s deadliest addiction yet, some substances show up in overdose data over and over again here in the U.S.

Let’s break down what makes certain substances so risky.

Research shows which substances are most often linked to fatal overdoses, even though ranking the “worst” drugs isn’t always straightforward.

On March 6th, we join together to remember and honor those lost to overdose.

Black Balloon Day is not just a day of reflection but a call to action. Every life lost mattered, and every conversation can make a difference. Let’s break the stigma, support one another, and advocate for change. 🖤
