This month, we unite to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on millions of lives. It’s essential to recognize the warning signs early so that those affected can receive the support they need.

Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s:

1. Memory Loss - Forgetting recently learned information or important dates.

2. Difficulty Planning or Solving Problems - Trouble with familiar tasks or following a recipe.

3. Confusion with Time or Place - Losing track of dates, seasons, or the passage of time.

4. Challenges in Understanding Visual Images - Difficulty reading, judging distance, or determining color.

5. New Problems with Words - Struggling to follow or join a conversation.

6. Misplacing Items - Putting things in unusual places and losing the ability to retrace steps.

7. Withdrawal from Work or Social Activities - Avoiding hobbies and social engagements.

Importance of Early Detection:

Early detection of Alzheimer’s can lead to better management of the disease. It allows individuals and families to:

• Access Treatment Options: Early intervention can slow progression and improve quality of life.

🌟 Cameron Nursing Community Food Drive 🌟

Times are tough right now, but together we can make a difference for everyone in our community—our children, seniors, and veterans! 💪❤️

From **October 29th to November 4th**, we’ll be collecting food donations to support our local food pantry. Items like powdered milk, bread, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, and boxed pasta meals are wonderful options to contribute. 🍞🥜🍝

Imagine the struggle of a child, a senior citizen, or a veteran going hungry—it’s a gut-wrenching thought. Let’s unite as a team to ensure that none of our community members have to face this reality. With the recent government shutdown, families and individuals are depending on food pantries more than ever, and we’ve seen the urgent call for help.

Please drop off your donations in the collection box located by the front door. Let’s show our community that we care for all who need our support! 💖
