🌿✨ Sage vs. Palo Santo (Holiday Edition!)✨🔥

Two sacred tools, two different energies.

It’s the holidays and sometimes the energy gets HEAVY in our homes with all of the stress, expectations and additional social interaction.

Even at times NOT involving such anxiety-inducing circumstances, I often have clients asking me “what’s the difference between burning sage and palo santo and which do you prefer?”

I prefer palo santo as a rule—sage gives me a stomachache. Yes, I understand I could be the problem 🤣. I prefer the scent of palo santo and the feeling afterward.

I often tell people to think of sage as “spiritual bleach”—it removes ERRYBODY from the house, including Aunt Gladys who was just trying to help you remember how to make traditional German potato salad. We NEED some of the energies who linger with us!

Sage CLEARS THE DECK, and sometimes we need that next-level disinfectant to kind of do a spiritual reset in our living environments.

Palo santo, on the other hand, provides more of an uplifting blessing and lets anything negative know it’s time to move along, but Great Gram Florence can keep smoking her Virginia Slims and making the cats stare off wildly into the corner.

Sage = full reset
Palo Santo = clearing + uplifting blessings
