In a world that’s always “on,” it’s easy to forget that it’s okay to slow down. 💚
Constant scrolling and screen time can quietly increase stress, disconnect us from others, and leave us feeling drained. Sometimes, the best reset isn’t online—it’s right in front of you.
✨ Make time for real conversations
✨ Step outside and get fresh air
✨ Be present with the people around you
✨ Give yourself permission to pause
Connection and calm don’t come from a screen—they come from real moments, real people, and taking care of yourself.
You don’t have to keep up with everything.
You just have to take care of you.

🌿 Therapist Spotlight 🌿
Taylyn Conner, Clinical Mental Health Intern
Seasons of Hope and Healing, LLC

We’re excited to highlight Taylyn and the warmth, authenticity, and dedication she brings to her work with clients and families. Get to know her a little more below!

✨ What inspired you to become a therapist?

I initially felt called to work with children and support their growth, but over time I developed a strong passion for working with the entire family system—especially supporting parents who have experienced trauma themselves.

💚 What do you love most about your work?

I love supporting clients as they discover their own strength and work toward the life they want. Being part of someone’s journey—through both challenges and successes—is incredibly meaningful.

🌱 How do you reset after a stressful day?

Coming home to my family and seeing my little ones smile helps me reset. A good crime documentary doesn’t hurt either!

🧘‍♀️ A small self-care habit that makes a big difference?

As a mom to a one-year-old, I never take for granted the power of a hot bath or shower. I also enjoy daily walks—on the treadmill or outside when the weather is nice.

☀️ Favorite season?

Summer—give me the heat and beach days!

✨ Hobbies outside of work?

Baking (and I like to think I’m pretty good at it!)

💬 What question do you wish more people felt comfortable asking a therapist?

Anything. I value transparency and believe appropriate self-disclosure can be helpful in therapy. One question I especially encourage is: “What should I do if I start to feel stuck in therapy?”—so we can work through it together.

If you’re interested in working with Taylyn, we’d love to connect with you.

Late-night scrolling might seem harmless—but it can have a real impact on teen mental health and sleep. 📱💤
When teens stay up scrolling, their brains don’t get the rest they need to reset and recharge. Over time, this can affect mood, focus, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
💡 A few simple ways to help:
✔️ Set a “tech bedtime” (devices off 30–60 minutes before sleep)
✔️ Keep phones out of the bedroom overnight when possible
✔️ Encourage a consistent sleep routine—even on weekends
✔️ Talk openly about how social media and screen time affect mood
Small changes can make a big difference. Better sleep = better mental health. 💚
Supporting healthy habits now helps teens build lifelong resilience.

What you see online isn’t always real life. 💭
Social media can make it easy to compare ourselves to perfectly curated images—but behind every post is a filtered, edited, and selected moment.
✨ Real life is not filtered
✨ Bodies are not meant to look the same
✨ Your worth is not defined by a highlight reel
If social media is impacting your mood or self-esteem, try this:
✔️ Remind yourself: “This is curated, not reality”
✔️ Limit time spent scrolling
✔️ Follow accounts that promote authenticity and positivity
✔️ Have open conversations with friends, teens, and loved ones about what’s real vs. edited
You are enough—exactly as you are. 💚
Let’s continue to normalize real life, real conversations, and real self-compassion.
