In the massage industry it's common for massage therapists to talk about "energy" and "quality of touch" but those are very abstract words.

We all know it isn't just what you say, but how you say it that matters and it's the same thing when it comes to your physical communication. It isn't just what you do, but how you do it. This separates the exceptional massages from the mediocre ones.

Hopefully, describing touch as having a tone to it makes the idea of "quality of touch" more concrete. One that can be altered and created more easily than simply talking about "energy."

Tone in words is conveyed with speed, pitch, eye contact and cadence. Tone in touch is conveyed with pace, pressure, presence and rhythm.

The Primary Constant

Evolution. Resurrection. Reincarnation. Awakening.

The common idea and feeling between all of these beliefs is that of change.

We are Human and less and less of us no longer have to adapt to simply survive. I believe we are moving into a direction as a species towards adapting in order to thrive.

We all want to be in and/or raise a family in a home where love, respect, peace and harmony abide.

I believe the way we wage war is changing as well and that we are moving into a war of ideas and feelings. I believe there is a war brewing between the genders and the masculine and feminine within all of us. This is a war we cannot lose if we want to continue to thrive.

I believe it to be an individual and collective responsibility to protect the family and our homes.

A vital piece to the foundation of the family is the bond between you and your partner. This needs to be maintained and protected if we want our family to thrive.

I feel the power of touch everyday and want to deepen this power in your own hands to protect your home and what you're creating with your partner.

Yesterday I mentioned how gratitude is a measure for how rich your life is in the current moment. Now let’s do a simple exercise to imagine what our partner and loved ones feel.

1. Close your eyes and take a few slow and steady breaths.

2. Have your hands clasped together or one hand over your chest and one over belly.
Or whatever position is comfortable that will help you be still without your phone in your hand (make sure it’s on silent).

3. Visualize yourself through your loved one’s eyes.
-Try to see what they see when they wake up.
-try to see what they do throughout the day
-now try to imagine what’s on their mind and in their heart
-feel what could be concerning them
-feel what they might be grateful for

4. Ask yourself these questions

Am I smiling at my partner and greeting them with love, tenderness, warmth, safety, or protective concern?

Am I showing up for my partner in a way that makes them feel grateful?

How does my partner feel when they receive a message from me? When was the last time I sent them a thoughtful message?

Have I been a sense of comfort, safety and relief for my partner lately?

5. Now that you’ve asked yourself those questions to help you discern how you’re showing up for your loved ones it’s time to make a decision and dedicate to taking action.

What will you do?

If you have any hard feelings towards your partner that prevents you from taking action then I encourage you to let them go. Don’t wait for them to change before taking action.

Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself more than your partner. It will free you from negative emotions within you and create space for you to show up with unconditional love. The love we all crave to receive and give. 🙏🏻❤️

Gratitude is a reliable marker of happiness and health in life and in a relationship. With Valentine’s Day approaching I hope we’re all able to close our eyes and not only think of what we’re grateful for but truly feel it for all our loved ones (and yourself 😉).

When I reflect back on the hard times I’ve had in life the past handful of years I notice that gratitude was in short supply. I had a more victim/accusing mentality as well. The past several months have been rich with ownership and gratitude.

Consequently, events seem to snowball and unfold in what feels like magic. I feel a priceless sense of peace and harmony. I still make mistakes and always will, but instead of weighing me down I’m dedicated to learning from them.

So if you’re struggling to feel grateful, I encourage you to think of where you can take ownership in your life and be proactive to make a positive difference with yourself and for those around you. 🙏🏻❤️
