Slate Hill and Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania proudly announce the successful completion of its very first MAKO™ hip arthroplasty.

Dr. Dan Kim, utilizing Stryker’s MAKO Robotic-Arm Assisted System, completed Slate Hill’s very first MAKO hip replacement. The MAKO procedure combines precise 3D-CT surgical planning with the benefits of robotic haptic guidance to enhance implant accuracy and alignment.

“Our team is thrilled to bring this state-of-the-art MAKO technology into Slate Hill,” said Erin Maher, Director of Nursing. “Patients here benefit from a highly personalized surgical plan, exceptional implant positioning, and the prospect of less soft tissue disruption and quicker recovery—all while enjoying the ease and comfort of same-day discharge.”
