hopefully weather will be spring perfect ☀️
My SHODO( Japanese calligraphy) performance will be happening at 2:30pm @ DEMONSTRATION TENT!
Also I & will have a booth to sale beautiful japanese art goodies too!!

My kid #4’s school prom weekend, we walked park near our house…
Then.. guess what we found…
Beautiful wild oyster mushrooms 🍄‍🟫
Look my kid #4’s face!! He was sooo excited to harvesting these mushrooms…
We decided to make a miso soup, and pasta.
We also found a Dryad’s saddle too..
This mushroom is tough texture, so, he used to blender to make a small then sprinkle on top of focaccia 👍
Mmmmm… soooo gooooood 😋
子供その4の卒業ダンスパーティーがあった今週末、彼と共にご近所の山へお散歩…
そこでナント立派なヒラタケを発見🍄‍🟫
この子供その4の顔に注目！　めちゃくちゃ嬉しそうです☺️
早速家に持って帰って、ひらたけはお味噌と具とシンプルなパスタの具に…
ほかに網杉茸もみつけ、こちらの食感はゴアゴアしているので、子供その4、フープロで細かくしてからフォカッチャの上にパラパラとトッピング…
どれもキノコの旨みが一口ごとに広がってとっても美味しくいただきました😋

Couple weeks ago, I had an opportunity to visiting Dickinson college once again to share how to roll sushi class wz Japanese language class students 🍣
Some of student was 1st time to taste sushi & he loved it 💓
I’m sooo glad everyone enjoyed my class!
It was a perfect amount of sushi rice I brought there too…
数週間前に地元の大学の日本語のクラスにご招待いただきまして、お寿司クラスを開催🍣
皆さん思い思いの具を巻いて(エビフライ🍤もあり！)作ったお寿司のお味は…？
持っていった寿司飯もちょうどいい量加減で完売！
中には今回初めて寿司を口にする生徒さんも…皆さん、お気に召したようでよかったです😋

Yesterday was my birthday and sweet my hibbie sent me this cute rooster 🐓 “pie bird”
Do you know pie bird is?
Pie bird or known as pie funnels (or vents, or whistles), were developed in the Victorian era in Britain as a tool intended to keep juicy fruit and meat pies from bubbling over, and to make for a crispier crust.
Now you find a cute & colorful design one and I have been collecting it 💓
It’s make me wanna bake a pie in this beautiful day 🥧

実は昨日私の誕生日だったのですが、ダンナさん、サプライズでこんなに可愛らしいニワトリの「パイバード」を送ってくれました🐓
皆さんは「パイバード」をご存知ですか？
パイバード（別名：パイファンネル、パイベント、パイホイッスルなど）は、昔イギリスのヴィクトリア朝時代に考案された調理器具です。果物や肉を使ったジューシーなパイを焼く際、中身が吹きこぼれるのを防ぎ、さらにパイ生地をよりサクサクとした食感に仕上げるための道具として開発されたんです。
今では可愛らしくカラフルなデザインのものがたくさん販売されており、私も少しずつ集めているんです💓
こんなに晴れ渡った美しい日には、思わずパイを焼きたくなってしまいますね🥧

Last Saturday morning, I had a Shodo class Itten Dojo.
It was a beautiful spring sun came into the room and brightened up.
And then showing a shadow from our ikebana…
This iris shadow I see a kanji 「心/kokoro」(means heart)💓

I felt I should teach “光/HIKARI(
Light & Shadow), 墨/SUMI ink & 間/MA(space)” again I taught a few weeks ago that was very small class…

From the Words of Laozi

Last Friday was a “World Theater day” 🎭
My kid #4 decided to join to his school theater production “Hadestown Teen edition “
He has been enjoying singing but he was little shy to singing in the public… but his awesome friends supported him, he found his another what he is enjoying to do” things!!
All casts and staff did a fantastic job 👏
Live music, sets even has a balcony, lighting & smoke/fog systems… just amazing show!
So, last day of the performance (yesterday), I wanted to share some gratitude, quickly made a roll sushi and brought to the school.
I wish I could make more but it was a Palm Sunday, pretty crazy schedule I had myself but still glad to made them happy gift 🍣

It was very spiritual moment…✨
