Dear Om friends,
I want to share a challenge with my beloved community on behalf of my beloved sis.
She and her husband are the farmers behind the Mac nuts we’ve been carrying in the studio this year, which SO many of you have loved and gifted.
This past week, a storm came through Hāna and took down a large portion of their orchard. They’re safe, and thankfully this year’s harvest was saved, but it’s an incredibly challenging and heartbreaking moment.
Personally, this has me reflecting on the time we lost the Harrisburg studio in a million gallon flood, and our community showed up for us in ways we never expected. I'm also gratefully looking back on the huge support for our Om My Yoga Online project during the pandemic, which brought us through months of closure we otherwise might not have endured.
Anyone who has embarked on the challenge of starting and stewarding a business has stories of wonder and heartache... often in equal measure. The encouragement of community makes such a real difference in immediate, overwhelming times when hope is in short supply.
If you feel called to give or share, I’m including their fundraiser here.
And we’ll absolutely continue supporting their farm through the studio, so come in and buy some hot honey, banana pancake or sea salt nuts and make us place lots of orders this year. :)
Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up with joy, with love, and with many hands that make the hard work a little bit lighter.
With gratitude,
Rachel Wilson
