Mommies in Oki. Here’s an up to date list of Island Doulas available for Postpartum care. 🥰
Due to the global pandemic and movement restrictions, many service members and contractors are unable to return home to their families in Okinawa. This means that parents all over the island are now facing birth, postpartum and parenting alone. We know that you are strong, capable and resourceful and we also believe that all parents are worthy of support and reassurance. That is why we want to share about our postpartum Doulas and postpartum support services for families on Island.
What does a postpartum Doula do??
“Postpartum doulas provide families information and support on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing, and coping skills for new parents. They might also help with light housework, fix a meal and help incorporate an older child into this new experience.”
