71 is fun when you have family, biological and chosen to spend time with. My grandchildren AJ and Ava chose to spend the day with me. We were on our way to the Kennedy Center to see Hamilton. We were mesmerized by the performance. Keeping young people in my life leads to my enjoyment of life in general and my overall vitality. Thank you to all of my family for the texts, calls, greetings of love. I’ll never forget 71 and I’m planning for at least 19 more summers. Much love to each of you.

Get away for a day-trip, even it means having a picnic on the beach. A night stay at a local hotel or a new restaurant.

💃🏾 WAKE UP EARLIER
If your significant other leaves early, and you both work all day, wake up 30 minutes before you have to. You can spend that time talking and cuddling before getting the day started - this actually makes you feel closer.

💃🏾 DATE EACH OTHER
Meet up for a drink before your girls night out or going to catch that basketball game. This is a GREAT way to stay grounded.

Relationships can be compared to doing a dance. It’s an easy metaphor to visualize.
For the sake of describing relationships, let’s talk about the kind of dance involving only two people.

Dancing consists of a series of movements that are combined and often repeated where two people move in sync with each other’s steps. The result is a coordinated effort that often looks easy and effortless. The ease and effortless appearance was achieved because of lots of practice.

How often do we decide to partner with someone without knowing how they dance in a relationship? The best relationship dances happen because the couple knows one another well, they are in agreement to be in sync with each other, and have practiced the dance long enough together to where the moves become second nature.
