Listening to a midwife’s
experience of working in Gaza for one month as part of WHO. I’m at the California Nurse Midwives Association annual meeting. The lack of health care, food, and safety is atrocious. We know this is happening but listening to someone provide health care in this environment made it even more vivid. I was in tears. As a country, we need to support the peace process and ensure that all lives are considered sacred.
Women and children suffer the most. As Gandhi said, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”.

and I went for a walk in his neighborhood talking to business owners and posting signs for his campaign for SF School Board. Then we had a beautiful time in Golden Gate Park at the Flower Piano Event. What a great Saturday!
