Healing isn’t quick. But it is possible. 🤍

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built in quiet, courageous moments — choosing to try again, even after a hard day.

Small steps count.
Setbacks don’t mean failure.
And you are not weak for struggling.

Healing isn’t linear. Some days will feel heavy. Some days will feel hopeful. Both are part of the process. What matters is that you keep going. Even resting is part of recovery. Even asking for help is strength.

This National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are joining to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and remind everyone that recovery is possible. No one should have to face this alone.

This National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are joining National Eating Disorders Association to highlight both the gaps in eating disorder care and the importance of self-advocacy. 💜

Primary care providers are often the first point of contact. Speaking up, asking questions, and requesting referrals can make a meaningful difference—for yourself or for someone you care about.

Think you know eating disorders? Think again.

During National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, it is essential to challenge common myths that prevent individuals from seeking or receiving care. Eating disorders are not about vanity, willpower, or appearance. They are complex mental health conditions influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors—and they can affect individuals of every age, gender, race, and body size.

Misconceptions such as “only teenage girls are affected” or “you can tell by looking at someone” contribute to stigma and delay diagnosis. In reality, many individuals with eating disorders may appear healthy, and symptoms often remain hidden. Breaking down these myths is a critical step toward earlier recognition, equitable access to care, and improved outcomes.

This National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are proud to partner with to emphasize that eating disorders affect every BODY and every community. By sharing accurate information, amplifying trusted resources, and encouraging open dialogue, we can reduce stigma and support recovery. Healing is possible.

Not all illnesses are visible—and eating disorders are no exception.

During National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are reminded that these serious mental health conditions often go unnoticed until significant harm has occurred. Early detection is critical. The sooner warning signs are recognized, the sooner individuals can access appropriate care, improving outcomes and potentially saving lives.

Eating disorders can affect individuals of any age, gender, or background. Risk may be elevated in those with a history of anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, dieting behaviors, or perfectionistic tendencies. Awareness of early indicators can make a meaningful difference.

Signs to watch for may include:

• Preoccupation with weight, food, calories, or body image
• Noticeable changes in eating patterns or restrictive dieting
• Avoidance of meals or social situations involving food
• Rapid weight fluctuations
• Excessive exercise or distress if unable to exercise
• Physical symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, hair thinning, or menstrual irregularities
• Withdrawal, mood changes, or increased secrecy around food

If you recognize these signs in yourself or someone else, early conversation and professional support are essential. Timely intervention significantly improves recovery outcomes.

EVERY BODY BELONGS. HEALTH DOESN’T HAVE A LOOK.

Health cannot be determined by appearance, size, or assumptions. Eating disorders affect people of every body type, age, gender, and background— and they are often hidden behind stigma and silence.

This year, we reaffirm that belonging, compassion, and equitable access to care are essential to true well-being.

This National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are proud to partner with to spread hope and provide life-changing information and resources. Eating disorders are often hidden, but we are bringing them into the light.
