Squeezing in International Women’s Day— Months away and RTW turns 7. I just moved into a new place that I couldn’t afford during Year 2 of RTW. Had a rough patch as I gained full ownership after buying out my investors. Well I guess you can say paying off all my capital debt. It’s been a trying process and I don’t like talking about $ because it’s a sore spot for me. Let’s say, that I’ve experienced what it is like to have nothing….and then wondering if it was ever enough?

The experience at a community health center taught me how much BIPOC female entrepreneurs struggle in getting funding, need but struggle to gain access to financial literacy and coaching…eventually it led to her anxiety, body tension, hypertension, insomnia, depression, and the whole gamut. I listened to every woman intently…and the one that breaks my 💔 is those who stay in a toxic relationship because she doesn’t have the financial means… or she has to take on “jobs” just to make it work… so I asked: “If you could do anything, what would you do?”
•
She answered “Start my own business..”

And after some thought and deliberation with my fellow business plan partners—we decided to pitch
…should our pitch go well—I will assure go live **fingers crossed**

SheFin, in short, is here to help BIPOC women entrepreneurs lead healthier lives through financial literacy, gain funding, and develop stronger social capital through channeled partnerships. You like? Feedback welcomed.

You know you’re in crisis mode when you do things you shouldn’t do—like cutting your bangs!!! It looks even yeah? 😞 I gave myself an acupuncture treatment right after, specifically using the ear points for and . of the is what I needed as I have been probably functioning on so much so, my is out of control.
•
Its been a little hectic so I decided to and go on a semi sabbatical—I had to say goodbye to where I humbly built the acupuncture program. I’m a little sad despite putting 10% of my RTW profits to charity, serving the underserved felt good to me. Good news is offer letters are on its way so hopefully our patients at the will soon have care again! This reminds me, if you’re on or medical you’re eligible to go into a FQHC to seek care, your county plan should be able to help. Feel free to reach out to me too and I can connect you. ( —I’m using my MPH noggin)

You probably already know what acupuncture is and maybe now, you’re trying to figure out, whether or not we are the right fit?
Our practice is not just acupuncture. Our efforts are in developing a lifestyle medicine that works for you. We offer personal training, nutritional guidance, chiropractic care, and also have contracted mental health care providers to address your needs. We support all aspects of medicine and work towards integrating our services with conventional medical care. This means, we will never tell you to stop taking your medications without having you discuss it with your primary care first. We respect and believe that a collaborative effort is needed to truly bring forth comprehensive awareness and wellbeing.
We are here as a resource and open to share information. Our recently launched Road To Wellness The Podcast, is a space where we share our perspective, interviews, and answer questions from our listeners and patients. Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms are also used to help us share information and connect with you.
For the most up to date research, please check out National Institute of Health & the World Health Organization for information on how acupuncture is utilized in healthcare globally. For details on how we can help with your present condition, please message us and a board certified licensed acupuncturist will reach out to you as soon as possible.
You are important and we will always try our best to put our best forward as we serve you. Every practice is slightly different and what makes us different is simply us and our values. We would be so humbled to have the honor to guide you on your road to wellness.
