Watching the events unfold in Israel and Palestine has been more than just heart-wrenching; it has been profoundly affecting. As a parent, I cannot even begin to fathom the pain, fear, and trauma that families are experiencing. Innocent children are being terrorized and lost, their lives cut short or forever changed by the horror surrounding them.
I've stayed silent about this for too long, unsure of what to say in the face of such devastation. But the truth is, every day, I have cried thinking about the trauma these families are feeling, the loss they are experiencing, and the absolute horror that children, just like mine, are facing.
My heart aches for every parent trying to provide comfort, safety, and some sense of normalcy in these unimaginable circumstances. I may not have the words or the power to change the situation, but I stand in solidarity with all those affected, praying for peace and for a future where children can grow up free from the shadow of violence. 💔
