Over time, this pressure causes the roots of the baby teeth to dissolve, which makes them loose. Eventually, the baby teeth fall out on their own, leaving space for the permanent teeth to grow in. This is a normal and important process that helps guide permanent teeth into the correct positions for a healthy smile.
