Power. Passage. Passenger. šŸ’„šŸŒ€šŸ‘¶

When your nervous system (power) is clear, your pelvis (passage) is balanced, and baby (passenger) is well-positioned—birth can unfold with greater ease, just as nature intended. Chiropractic care supports all three.

Let’s work with the body, not against it. šŸ’«

Round ligament pain is one of those ā€œfunā€ surprises of pregnancy šŸ¤°ā€”sharp, sudden, and often catching you off guard when you roll over, stand up, or sneeze just a little too hard.

These important ligaments support your growing uterus, but as your baby bump expands, they can become overstretched and irritated—leading to discomfort that ranges from annoying to ouch.

Chiropractic care, especially with a Webster-certified provider, can help ease tension in the pelvis and surrounding soft tissues, making more room for baby and less pain for you. ✨

If you’re expecting and experiencing round ligament pain, let’s talk about gentle, effective support for your changing body.

Getting to snap a photo with this sweet family was such a special moment!

Mom came in at 36 weeks with baby in a breech position. We squeezed in two treatments before her scheduled ECV—and it was successful! šŸ™Œ She went on to have a smooth, uncomplicated vaginal birth. So happy for her and glad to be a small part of their story šŸ’›

"How come we're just learning this on our 11th baby? No one else has explained it like that!"

Call me a birth nerd, but I just looove talking pelvic biomechanics! šŸ˜

The above quote was said by a dad at his wife's visit at 39 weeks with their 11th child, the tie breaker between 5 boys and 5 girls!

Mom's last four babies have all been 48 hour labors. She wants something a little quicker this time around. ā°

At her first visit, I noticed that she had what we call a "pendulous abdomen", a belly that hangs far out in front of the pelvis. I explained that with baby in this orientation, he or she can have a hard time finding the inlet, which can lead to prolonged labors. During her visit, we went over some exercises that can help baby line up over the inlet of the pelvis, making the pathway much easier for baby to descend into the birth canal, therefore speeding up the first stage of labor.

Dad can't wait to put these exercises to good use and I love that it involves him in his wife's labor experience.

It’s never too late—or too many babies—to learn something new about birth!šŸ™Œ

Breastfeeding doesn’t have to be such a struggle. When the spine is out of alignment, it can throw off the nervous system—and that can make things harder for both mom and baby. Gentle chiropractic care helps restore balance and support better communication between brain and body, which can lead to a smoother latch, less tension, and a more relaxed feeding experience for everyone involved.

Loved getting my passion for chiropractic care for pregnant mamas and kiddos reignited at this weekend’s Cal Chiro and ICPA Pediatric event in Pismo Beach! šŸ™Œ It was amazing to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, which is easy to do when, as my good friend Anne says ā€œwe get to be with people who are weird like we are!ā€ šŸ˜† Such incredible enthusiasm and energy at these events. Can’t wait to bring all the gold nuggets I learned this weekend to practice with me on Monday morning! Thank you to CalChiro and ICPA for collaborating and bringing us all together for such a fun and educational experience!

Best news of the week…and it’s only Monday! šŸ™Œ

This mama is pregnant with baby #3, having had two previous vaginal births. When she came to me last week at 36 weeks, baby was in a breech position (head up, butt down). This little one was clearly not comfortable in this position as mom said baby moved around quite a bit, so though it was late in the third trimester I was pretty confident that baby just needed a little extra room and motivation to turn head down.

I adjusted misalignments I found in her sacrum, pelvis and p***c joints, as well as her in her cervical spine. We worked on some tight muscles and ligaments around her pelvis and loosened up some fascial restrictions around the uterine muscle. I also reviewed the spinning babies breech protocol with her, which she was instructed to do at home with her partner.

After our first visit, an ultrasound revealed that baby had turned into a transverse (sideways) position. By our second visit two days after the first, belly mapping revealed that baby had turned head down and sure enough, we had an ultrasound confirmation the day after that baby was in fact vertex. No need for the ECV that was scheduled for today, saving this mom a lot of stress and discomfort.

If you know of a mama that has a breech baby, please recommend a Webster-certified prenatal chiropractor. We can be found at icpa4kids.com šŸ¤—

This is an unapologetic post about politics, not necessarily a political post. I’m probably committing Instagram su***de, but if you can look past the dirty P word…hear me out!

Bobby Kennedy was the ONLY candidate whose major platform was addressing the issue of chronic disease in our children. Even if that was the only thing I agreed with him on, his commitment to this one essential issue would have earned my vote.

In paraphrase of his recent address of the nation (and evident in my observations within my own practice) here is the current state of our children’s health:

* 60% of our children have a chronic disease
* 1 in 3 kids are either pre-diabetic or diabetic
* 1 in 22 kids in California have autism, 1 in 36 in the rest of the country
* 1 in 13 children have a serious food allergy, up 50% in 20 years.
* 18% of teens have fatty liver disease
* Young adult cancers are up 79%

As a chiropractor, I’m used to having opinions that are considered contrary to the mainstream narrative, but I refuse to believe that caring about the health of our children is a fringe belief. The state of our food, chemical and toxin exposure and corrupt regulatory agencies need to be addressed in order to save our children. Only one man was willing to take that on.

I find it deplorable that the health of our children has to be a partisan issue. Every person in politics should want better for our kids and protect them in the ways that they are able. RFKs campaign is suspended but his influence in our political arena is still a possibility. Just some food for thought heading into election season.
