After 50 remarkable years in the field of vascular ultrasound, our esteemed Technical Director, Denise, is beginning a new chapter. Since joining Hill Vascular & Vein Center in 2020, she has set the standard for excellence in our IAC accredited vascular lab, mentoring our team, raising the bar for patient care, and shaping the future of vascular imaging.

While she is stepping into retirement, Denise will continue to share her expertise as a consultant—educating and advising vascular labs across the country.

A heartfelt congratulations to our very own Denise Levy, who was recently honored for her incredible 50-year career in sonography at the Waves Conference in Mexico!
As the Technical Director of our Vascular Lab, Denise has been instrumental in maintaining our high standards of care and ensuring our continued accreditation. Her expertise in vascular diagnostic imaging has helped countless patients and earned her tremendous respect from physicians throughout the region.
Denise was invited to present at the conference, sharing her journey and the remarkable advances she's witnessed in technology and patient care over five decades.

With hospitals either cutting "elective" and non-urgent services, or prioritizing as they see fit, the roles for outpatient services is underscored again just as during COVID. Saving a leg is NOT considered "elective" to us or our patients.
So what can we do? Beyond preservation and conservative use of the IV fluids we have on hand, it is more important than ever for PAD patients and dialysis patients to walk as much as they can, take care of their feet, wear proper fitting shoes, and contact us as soon as possible if you believe you are having a circulation issue in your legs. Don't wait until an intervention is needed.

March is DVT Awareness Month! Our goal is to increase awareness of DVTs in our community. Did you know a blood clot or DVT can lead to a life-threatening PE (pulmonary embolism)? A PE is a blood clot that has traveled to the lungs which can interfere with your breathing.

KNOW THE SIGNS OF A DVT:
Swelling in one leg or arm
Leg/arm pain or cramping
Skin warmth to the touch
Skin color changes (red or blue)

KNOW THE SIGNS OF A PE:
Sudden difficulty breathing
Chest pain
Lightheadedness or dizziness
Rapid or irregular heart beat
Cough or coughing up blood
