Vitamin D and Fertility

A recent meta-analysis including 22 studies explored the connection between vitamin D and female fertility. It found that vitamin D supplementation was linked to a higher number of dominant follicles, meaning more follicles (which house developing eggs) were reaching full maturity. Vitamin D supplementation also positively impacted ovulation and pregnancy rates. This reinforces the importance of vitamin D for reproductive health.
