We are proud to announce the groundbreaking of our new Hosparus Health Inpatient Hospice Care Center, the region’s first and only standalone inpatient hospice facility, following the successful achievement of raising nearly $9.6 million, surpassing our $9.2 million groundbreaking goal.

Construction is expected to begin this fall, led by Koetter Construction. We will continue fundraising efforts toward the project’s total $20 million goal to ensure the Hospice Care Center is fully equipped with the resources needed to serve patients and families for generations to come.

They shared important insights about the needs we’re seeing in our community and how Hospice and Palliative Care are helping meet those needs. 💙

📊 Our 2024 Impact Report is now available.
In the last year, we:

💛 Opened the William B. and Janet B. Schmidt PACE Center in Elizabethtown.
💛 Launched the Harshaw Family Grief Counseling Center, hosting more than 260 grief support groups.
💛 Provided care to over 14,000 patients and families, earning a top-five national ranking for overall quality.

Looking ahead, we’re preparing to break ground this September on our region’s first standalone inpatient hospice care center in Louisville. This new space will help even more families receive the compassionate care they deserve.

Celebrating Laura Williams, RN – Joe Rotella Compassion Award Winner

Our Green River team gathered to honor Laura Williams, RN, for receiving the prestigious Joe Rotella Compassion Award!

While not everyone could attend the official presentation, we made sure Laura felt the love with a celebration filled with steaks, baked potatoes, and cake—just a small way to thank her for the incredible compassion and dedication she brings to hospice care every day.

On July 2, our team had a wonderful time participating in the Marion County Senior Fair Days at Floral Hall in Lebanon, KY!

We joined more than 150 local seniors for an afternoon of fun games, live music, and amazing food courtesy of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association.

It was a joy to connect with our community, share some smiles, and spread the word about the compassionate care Hosparus Green River provides.
