Saddened and disappointed by Governor Ayotte’s decision to sign these bills into law. This legislation directly affects several of my clients and or their families.

By signing these bills into law, HB 377 and HB 712 will ban many health care treatments for gender dysphoria for transgender youth, prohibit doctors from providing such care and strip parents of the right to guide medical decisions for their own children.

This is a devastating moment and a painful setback for transgender youth, their families, and their doctors. No matter what, we will never stop fighting for the rights and dignity of transgender people in the Granite State.

Earlier this week, I had the incredible opportunity to join over 80 school psychologists from across the country at the National Association of School Psychologists Public Policy Institute. The event reached its peak with a dynamic day on Capitol Hill, where we met face-to-face with legislators to advocate for our students and profession. I'm proud to share that our efforts made a real impact—one of the representatives publicly acknowledged us, citing our work in a bipartisan letter signed by members of Congress that was sent out late Wednesday afternoon. It was inspiring to see our collective voices making a difference at the highest levels of government!
