🌟Rehab Success Story🌟

Ernest (Tub)Spencer came to Wolfe County Health and Rehabilitation in March following a brief but significant illness. Tub participated in Physical and Occupational Therapy daily working hard on regaining strength to allow him to go home. Some activities that he participated in were: upper/lower extremity strengthening, activities of daily living, endurance training, balance retraining, and ambulation beginning with rolling walker and progressing to single point cane. Tub came to therapy every day with a positive attitude and a smile that made everyone around want to smile too. He worked hard and consistently encouraged others, although he would try to get them to do his therapy too! He was so much fun to be around and brightened our day. We will miss him but are so happy that he was able to complete his therapy and go home.

Congratulation Tub!

💐🍦🥳Our residents have enjoyed this beautiful April week! They have had fun making Spring crafts, meeting America’s International Miss Kentucky Teen 2026- Megan Keaton, and a trip today to see our neighbors at Lee County Senior Citizens for fellowship and entertainment. They ended the day with a tasty treat from Dairy Queen. As the weather keeps warming up, our residents are excited to be getting out and about more having fun and visiting. ✨❤️🎉

This month's rehab success story is Bess Douthitt from Jackson. Bess came to stay with us for a couple weeks of therapy after a recent fall requiring knee surgery. Bess was a star therapy participant by engaging in occupational and physical therapy daily and putting forth 110% with all her exercises in order to regain her independence. She was very inquisitive about her condition and would apply the information she gathered. While at Wolfe County Health & Rehab, Bess participated in most all facility's activities and encouraged others to do the same. Bess was a pleasure to work with and we wish her continued success with her outpatient therapy. Congratulations to Bess on her SUCCESS!!!
