Stephen’s Community House, compassionate and passionate volunteers work together to create a facility that is a welcoming environment for women in need or who desire to belong to a network within a familial atmosphere. With the goal of achieving a truly holistic program, a community collaborative model is envisioned, which brings together services and business providers willing to support our vision and embody genuine ethical standards and concerns that are in line with Women Affirming Women‘s mission.

The Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo is a one-of-kind, 18 and over adult only events for all Caregivers, First Responders, Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians. The Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expos includes free parking, free entry, free lunch and learn workshops with featured guest speakers, free pampering services, free health and fitness sessions, free exhibitor information and resources, prizes, giveaways and lots of fun!

This event is SOLD OUT, but walk-ins are still welcome!

What a beautiful morning we had for our Caregiver Walk with a Doc! 🌿 About 50 caregivers and supporters came together on Saturday October 11 for movement, connection, and wellness. Special thanks to Dr. Jeanne Caligiuri (a WAW Board Member) for leading the walk and reminding us that social connection—her most important Pillar of Wellness—is key to health. 💚

Grateful to Walk with a Doc - Central Ohio, Bruegger's Bagels, and Maple Street Biscuit for making this inspiring event possible!

Join us for Part 2 of our Financial Health Series designed especially for women caregivers. Linda Fitzgerald, a local financial health expert and single mom, will be back this month to provide practical tools and resources to help you feel more confident and in control of your finances.

Topics include:
- Setting and achieving short-term financial goals
- Understanding your credit report
- Exploring debt relief options
- Accessing resources for women managing tight budgets

This session will be interactive, supportive, and focused on simple strategies you can start using right away. Complimentary dinner & parking.

On October 8, Women Affirming Women hosted the first session of our Financial Health Series: Banking 101, designed to help caregivers strengthen their financial foundation and build confidence in managing their money.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Linda Fitzgerald and Suzanna Humbert from First Financial Bank for leading this informative and encouraging session. Both Linda and Suzanna shared not only their professional expertise, but also their personal stories as former single mothers. Their compassion and understanding resonated deeply with our caregivers, many of whom face the daily realities of stretching limited financial resources.

Through practical guidance and open discussion, our caregivers learned how to navigate banking systems, avoid common pitfalls, and take simple steps toward greater financial stability. The evening reminded everyone that financial empowerment is possible—especially when surrounded by a supportive community that understands their journey.

2025 Red Wagon Fare - Luncheon & Style Show

Together, we can challenge poverty one child at a time. We invite you to share your love
by providing clothing, nourishment, literacy, and education to local children in need. Please join Women Affirming Women as we sponsor The Christ Child Society of Columbus' Red Wagon Fare 2025 on Wednesday, October 15 from 10:am-3:00pm at Villa Milano.
