Mental Health First Aid training can be used in all aspects of your life: Whether it’s with a coworker, neighbor, family member, friend, or stranger, you can learn how to recognize and help with a mental health or substance abuse challenge. Nearly 1 in 5 people in the U.S. struggle with mental illness, and an average of 130 Americans die by su***de each day. At the same time, thousands die each year from drug overdoses. You can help by signing up for Thompson Health’s a free Mental Health First Aid course. Led by Wellness Coordinator Kristen Seyfried, this course from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. She offers sound baths for our associates and residents of our senior communities, and now Jennifer Muscato of our Wellness Department is offering the community a chance to have this experience! Best of all, it's free!

Jennifer Muscato, wellness educator, will discuss sound therapy/sound baths. A sound bath is a full-body meditative experience featuring deep sound vibrations resonating at specific tones and frequencies. It’s meant to relax, balance and facilitate healing through a shift in the brain wave state.
