✨ Employee Spotlight: Vanessa ✨

Vanessa has been part of our acute care team for 5 years, beginning as a per diem Occupational Therapist and transitioning to part-time in 2024. She is a Certified Stroke Rehab Specialist (CSRS) and Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS), and also serves as a trainer consultant for the Walkasins device, helping patients improve balance and reduce fall risk.

Vanessa is passionate about helping others regain meaningful activities and loves seeing patients recognize their own progress. We’re grateful for her dedication and advocacy for those who need it most! 💙

Meet John, the newest Occupational Therapist at our Victor Clinic! Specializing in orthopedic hand and upper extremity rehab, John is passionate about helping patients return to their best selves through hard work, genuine connection, and a few laughs along the way. A Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, he’s currently pursuing advanced training to become a Certified Hand Therapist.

Meet another Thompson star! Ed, a physical therapist who worked for many years in our M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center (we affectionately call it the “CCC”), recently joined the Rehab team in our hospital. In addition to the Star Catcher recognition program for patients and families that we’ve been sharing on social media, we also have an internal “Cheer for a Peer” program we’d like to share.
