As promised, here are our photos from the recent "Tea at Tiffany's" afternoon at Clark Meadows. The ladies enjoyed soft music, delicious cakes and fruit, lovely company, and - of course - tea!

Many of our Clark Meadows residents took part in a "5th Avenue Glam Shots" session with photographer Flinn Hackett last week, choosing from 1940s costumes and props on loan from Marcus Whitman theater program director Jessica Rhodes, Ferris Hills resident Kathy Crelot, and Clark Meadows staff. A "Tea at Tiffany's" was held that afternoon. Stay tuned for photos of the tea later this week!

We started our St. Patrick's Day celebrations a wee bit early, on Monday, so we could welcome fiddlers from Canandaigua Academy this morning and host Beth Brancato for an Ireland presentation this afternoon. With festive music playing in the background, we enjoyed delicious snacks, lively conversation, and a variety of beverages. In addition to several non-alcoholic options, we had Guinness, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Irish cream, and a bright green concoction similar to a mimosa, with blue Curaçao added to change the color. Resident Services Manager Claire Watson - who lived in Ireland for three years - said over there it would be called a "Buck's fizz."

Look who visited us today! How lucky are we to have such a fun courier?

Our favorite leprechaun is back! Courier Dave Masters has not only mail but “gold” chocolate coins for everyone as he makes his rounds throughout the health system today. On this cold morning, after everyone scraped the snow off their cars and braved especially chilly temperatures to get to work, he was a bright spot in our day.

If you've seen the latest issue of (585) Magazine, you just might have recognized a familiar face or two! Pictured under our gazebo and with his "Gabe's Babes" bocce team, our very own Gabe Cinquegrana is among those featured as part of a special section devoted to how growing older is both a privilege and a joy. Gabe is quoted as saying, “I like to keep busy, and I am the happiest when I can help others have fun and be happy. The fun for me is seeing others enjoying themselves and others!”

Executive Chef Tony Cafarelli and Lead Cook Grace Sobus represented Ferris Hills/Clark Meadows on Sunday during the Canandaigua Kiwanis' Chef & Sip Challenge at Hotel Canandaigua. We hear people were raving about their Barbecue Shrimp, which is no surprise. How lucky are we that we get to enjoy their creations every day?

Meet Scout! Scout is a certified therapy dog belonging to Erika from Dining Services at Ferris Hills/Clark Meadows, and he visits Clark Meadows each Monday afternoon to hang out with the ladies' knitting club. With that sweet little face and personality competing for their attention, it's wonder they get any work done!
