Due to devastation from Hurricane Helene, AIP are still closed this week (September 30 - October 7). We continue to be without power, water, internet or phone service. We will reassess our ability to open for virtual appointments at the end of the week.

We will reach out as soon as we are able to reschedule any missed appointments. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you and your loved ones are safe and cared for.

Our 3rd Anniversary celebration lands on a very special day of profound astrological significance: the Autumn Equinox! 🍂

The Equinox is one of the two points in the year where day and night are of equal length. This celestial event represents a balance, a moment when the energies of the light and the dark are in harmony, offering a unique time for reflection and introspection.

As we observe this balance between light and dark, we are reminded that our mental well-being is intricately connected to the rhythms of nature and an awareness of these natural cycles can lead to greater insight, self-understanding and emotional resilience. 🌠

A note on psychedelic medicines and nature ✨🍃 Psychedelics can offer a transformative outlook for those seeking a shift in their thought patterns, with many patients who undergo these experiences reporting a stronger sense of connection to the world around them, which can help alleviate their feelings of isolation and promote a deeper understanding of their place in the environment.

While psychedelics can open the door to this awareness, lasting change comes from being able to maintain this perspective without relying on the medicine itself. At Asheville Integrative Psychiatry, we focus on helping clients build a meaningful connection with nature before and between psychedelic sessions. Last month, the Asheville Dispensary hosted a special evening featuring a talk by our very own Dr. Tiffany Sauls and Dave MacDonald, LCSW on Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy!

The event included an informative discussion about the therapeutic uses of ketamine in mental health treatment, followed by a Q&A session where attendees had the chance to ask questions and engage directly with our speakers!

Additionally, guests enjoyed drinks from the Elixir Bar, creating a relaxing atmosphere for both learning and socializing. It was an insightful and enjoyable evening for all who attended!
