Come any day of the week to help pick, pack or deliver JOY. "SPREAD THE JOY" - An extension of Daffodil Daze. Come any day of the week to help with this effort.

An extension of Daffodil Daze where you can volunteer in the effort to distribute tens of thousands of daffodil flowers to nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, elderly housing, and others. We need any number of pickers, packers and drivers to Share the JOY. No need to fill out a form (I hope to figure out how to delete that thing!) - come on up to the fields and join the JOY of giving to others. Let us know if you know of someone/place that could benefit from our daffodils. Volunteers will pick a bouquet for themselves. "Spread the JOY" - Volunteer weekdays through May 1st, 2025. Mon. to Fri. - 9am to 4pm. DAFFODIL DAZE at The Zamoiski Daffodil Fields in Candor, NY is a private property owned and operated by the Zamoiski Family. DAFFODIL DAZE in Candor, NY is a private property open on limited dates for the public to view tens of thousands of daffodils in bloom. The 2024 dates are Friday, April 19th – Tuesday April 30th, at 292 Candor Hill Road. 10am to 5pm Daily.

DAFFODIL FESTIVAL - Please note that although it was inspired by our event, to honor the late Joy Zamoiski (our mom), and most recently the late Nancy Zamoiski (the brainchild of the display), the Candor Chamber of Commerce Daffodil Festival – featuring vendors, food and more – is a completely separate, one day event, held downtown at the Spencer Avenue ball field on April 27th, 2024. We send down thousands of daffodils to the Festival so you can get a peek of the more than 250 varieties up at 292 Candor Hill Road.

Our Story

Operation Extend The Joy was started last year as an extension of the annual Daffodil Daze in Candor, NY. (See link https://www.facebook.com/DaffodilDazeCandorNY/). It honors the legacy of our mother (Joy Lathrop Zamoiski) who had an abiding love for flowers and was a firm believer in sharing with and caring for those in less fortunate circumstances, by picking and delivering daffodils to those in need of some “JOY”.

We are looking for volunteers to pick and or deliver daffodils to shut ins, hospital, hospice, and nursing home patients, elderly housing etc. We are going to be picking and delivering after public showing closes Sunday May 6th at 5 PM. And all the following week, thru Sunday May13th, 9 AM to 7 PM each day.
