A new study out of the USA found that those eating just one ounce (28 grams) weekly of had 15% less risk of dying from any cause during the 14-year study period. In other words, their lives were longer. There was also a 23% reduction in heart disease risk and an incredible 43% risk reduction for death from Alzheimer’s disease. What makes chocolate so ? It’s a rich source of powerful antioxidants called PACs (proanthocyanidins) which have been associated with lower risk for several types of , heart disease and dementia. But moderation is key here: the best results were seen at just 0.7-1 ounces per week!

An observational study in the USA found women with the highest blood levels of lycopene had a stunning 50% less risk for . Since Americans get 90% of their lycopene from tomatoes and products, it’s clear that this tasty red vegetable was the main factor at work here. And while all carotenoids are , lycopene is the most powerful. That might explain why it was linked with the best risk reductions for breast cancer in this study, as well as less risk for heart disease and even Alzheimer’s in other studies. Lycopene absorbs best from cooked tomato products like paste, sauce, salsa, juice and especially so when healthy fat is added like extra virgin olive oil or avocado. Source: Pubmed ID 9486468

Spiderwort (Tradescantia) is starting to bloom! All of the soft above ground parts of this lovely Native can be used as food. Young leaves can be tossed into salads, or stir-fry. Older leaves can be minced and used for soup, or steeped in tea. Young stalks cook up like asparagus. The bright flowers can be tossed on top of a salad, eaten raw, candied, infused in honey or vinegars. As you can see from my fingers, they also make an excellent natural dye 😏. The seeds are edible as well, I’ve read accounts that the Natives roasted them and ground them into a powder. You’ll find it growing in glades, fence rows, prairies and many of your neighbors yards as landscaping. Bees love them, so they are excellent additions to your yard or garden. Trying out a different sound frequency device that doesn’t require being hooked to an EMF-emitting device during sessions and that can be done while sleeping or relaxing.

After two sessions, I can feel the symptoms of detox: slight headache, stiffness and a different kind of congestion.

I’m more excited about this device than anything I’ve tried in a while.

In a fully randomized and double-blind clinical trial, women who ate 100-160 grams of raw yellow onion daily during their breast treatments saw significant reductions in tumor markers CEA and CA125 after 8 weeks. This suggests that onions helped the women to more effectively fight their cancer. Onions are rich dietary sources of two anticancer superstars: the flavonoid quercetin and thiosulfinates. Importantly, cooking destroys them both. Also, the stronger tasting and smelling are, the more thiosulfinates they’ve got. A recent study from Mexico found that women eating more than one slice daily of onion had 73% less risk of getting breast cancer in the first place.

It’s that time again, time to do your spikey cookie detox.

Do this for 3-12 months for proper detoxification:

- Nattokinase 2000 FU (100) mg orally twice a day without food
- Bromelain 500 mg orally once a day without food
- Curcumin 500 mg orally twice a day (nano, liposomal, or with piperine additive suggested)

Do this in addition to regular nutritional supplementation, healthy eating, moderate exercise, adequate rest and reduced stress.
