Our Story

Goodneighbor LLC was born in the summer of 2016 based on our private practices and as a result of the need of families and individuals in Fremont County for accessible trauma-focused treatment. Ventzi Guentchev, LPC, had extensive experience with adolescents who responded to trauma by acting our sexually, and Jenni Guentcheva, LPC, LAC, NCACII, had specialized in working with military service-members suffering from combat trauma, as well as families who experienced the effects of domestic violence, mental illness and addiction. A variety of new treatment technologies were developed. The new program was centered on using Trauma-focused Cognitive-behavioral Therapy an evidence-based practice.

Since then, the center became closely connected with the various mental health needs of the families we serve, and we started offering EMDR, EFT, DBT, and neuro-feedback, among other therapeutic techniques, team up with the prevention program Green Thumb Initiative and offer parenting programs including Nurturing Parenting and Caring Dads.

Ventzi is no longer with us but his memory and role-modeling continue to be a big part of our mission. Talented and dedicated clinicians, such as Nancy Johnson, LPC, Melissa Palmieri, and John Gordon contribute to the well-being of the community. We are in constant pursuit of quality programs we can offer to the community we love. Your “good neighbors” are here for you!
