⭐️ Patient Spotlight: Keith ⭐️

Keith was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor in October. When he woke up from surgery to remove it, he had no movement or sensation in either leg.

Today, he’s walking. Navigating stairs to access his bedroom, shower, and hobby room. Driving. Getting back to the gym. Heading out to restaurants and the mall. And soon — leaving for a 6-week trip to Florida with his wife!

Keith, we are so incredibly proud of the work you’ve put in and honored to be part of your journey. Your resilience is inspiring👏👏👏

On National Guitar Day, we’re highlighting how meaningful occupations drive recovery. 🎸

Scott experienced a stroke that impacted his left arm, and he is a bass player in a band with close friends. Playing bass is a part of his identity.

In OT, we used bass playing to address: • Fine motor coordination • Digit individualization • Force production • Speed
• High repetition practice

Music increased motivation. Motivation increased repetition. Repetition drives neuroplasticity.
