If summer break in your house has turns into:

• more meltdowns
• more fighting
• bigger emotions
• constant overwhelm

…you are NOT alone.

A lot of kids struggle emotionally when routines disappear — and it often shows up through behavior.

What looks like “acting out” may actually be stress, overstimulation, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm.

And honestly? A lot of moms are barely holding it together this time of year too.

Our newest blog post is now live:

“Why Kids’ Behavior Gets Worse in Summer (And What They May Actually Need)”

If this season already feels heavier than expected, this post was written for you.

That’s the mental load.

And during summer break, it often becomes impossible to ignore.

If you’ve been feeling emotionally exhausted, resentful, anxious, or unsupported lately, our newest blog may help you feel seen. 🤍

“Can you just tell me what needs done?”

For many moms, that question feels exhausting.

Because the mental load isn’t just completing tasks.
It’s being the person who constantly has to THINK about everything first.

Summer break can intensify this dynamic fast:
☀️ camps
☀️ childcare
☀️ meals
☀️ schedule changes
☀️ keeping kids entertained
☀️ balancing work and motherhood

And many women silently carry it all while telling themselves they “should be grateful.”

You deserve support too.

Our newest post explores how to start sharing the mental load with your partner in healthier, more sustainable ways this summer.

One of the hardest parts of summer for moms isn’t always the kids.

It’s becoming the:
• planner
• scheduler
• activity coordinator
• meal manager
• emotional support system
• default parent

…for everyone.

And carrying all of that quietly can become exhausting fast.

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking:
“Why does it feel like I’m responsible for EVERYTHING?”

This post was written for you.

Inside, we talk about:
✔️ why the mental load gets heavier in summer
✔️ why so many moms feel resentful and overwhelmed
✔️ how to actually start sharing responsibilities with your partner
✔️ healthier conversations that create support instead of conflict

Because parenting was never meant to fall on one exhausted person carrying it all alone.

You can cherish your family…
AND need a break.

You can love motherhood…
AND still struggle with the mental load it brings.

You don’t have to keep carrying all of it alone. 🤍

05/24/2026

Your mental load is more than being “busy.”

It’s being the one who remembers everything.

The sunscreen.
The camp forms.
The snacks.
The appointments.
The emotional needs.
The schedule.
The groceries.
The tantrums.
The constant planning happening in your brain all day long.

And during summer break? That invisible checklist usually doubles.

Many moms don’t realize how overwhelmed they are until they’re suddenly snapping, shutting down, crying more easily, or feeling emotionally numb.

That isn’t failure. That’s overload.

You deserve care too — not just everyone else around you.

Summer is supposed to feel relaxing.

But for many moms, it actually feels heavier.

More noise.
More snacks.
More messes.
More planning.
More pressure to make everything “fun".

And somehow, you’re still expected to work your job and manage the household - - while running on empty.

If you’ve been feeling more irritable, emotionally exhausted, overstimulated, or mentally drained while school winds down - - you are not alone.

A lot of mothers are carrying an invisible mental load no one else fully sees.

And eventually, that constant emotional labor catches up with you.

You don’t have to wait until complete burnout to ask for support... To make lasting changes for you.

If motherhood has felt overwhelming lately, therapy can help.
