There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.

It looks like getting through the day…
but feeling irritable, overwhelmed, and completely drained by the end of it.

It sounds like:
“I shouldn’t feel this way… but I do.”

This is something I hear from so many moms.

Not because they aren’t strong enough
—but because they’ve been carrying too much for too long.

If you’ve been feeling this way, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep pushing through it by yourself.

I wrote a new blog post:
“Mom Burnout: Signs You’re Running on Empty (And What You Can Do To Feel Better)”

It walks through:
âś” what burnout actually looks like in moms
âś” why it happens
âś” how to start feeling like yourself again

You can read it below.

And if it hits close to home, you’re always welcome to reach out.
In The Now Counseling is here to support you 🤍

You’re doing everything you’re supposed to do…
And somehow it still feels like too much.

That constant exhaustion?
The irritability?
The mental load that never shuts off?

That’s not you “failing.”

That’s burnout.

And so many moms are quietly carrying it alone.

At In The Now Counseling, we work with women who feel exactly like this—overwhelmed, depleted, and unsure how to get out of it.

You don’t have to wait until you completely crash to get support.

✨ In this week’s blog:
“Mom Burnout: Signs You’re Running on Empty (And What You Can Do To Feel Better)”

→ We walk through the signs of burnout
→ Why it happens
→ And small, real ways to start feeling better

If you’ve been thinking, “I can’t keep doing this like this”…

That matters.

Lately, I’ve been hearing a version of this from so many women:

“I don’t even know why I feel so overwhelmed… nothing is that wrong.”

But when we slow it down, this is usually what’s underneath:

You’re keeping track of everything
You’re thinking ahead for everyone
You’re managing emotions (yours and theirs)
You rarely get a true mental break

That’s not “nothing.”

That’s a full mental and emotional workload that never shuts off.

And over time, it turns into constant overwhelm.

If this resonates, I wrote something that might help you feel a little more understood—and a little less alone.

And if you’re in Pennsylvania and feel like you’ve been carrying too much for too long, therapy can help you sort through it in a way that actually feels relieving.

You don’t have to keep holding it all together by yourself.

If you’ve been asking yourself, “Why do I feel so overwhelmed all the time?”—you’re not alone. Many women carry a constant sense of pressure that …

If you’ve been wondering why you feel overwhelmed all the time… this is probably why.

Most women aren’t overwhelmed because they’re “doing it wrong.”

They’re overwhelmed because they’re carrying:

* invisible stress
* mental load
* emotional labor
* constant low-level anxiety
*
And it never fully turns off.

So even when you finally sit down…your brain doesn’t.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone—and it’s not something you have to keep pushing through.

I wrote a blog post breaking this down (and what actually helps) 🤍

→ Read it at the link in bio.

If you’ve been asking yourself:
“Why am I so irritable with my kids lately?”

I wrote this for you.

It will help you understand what’s actually going on beneath the surface—and why it makes so much sense.

A lot of parenting advice focuses on behavior:

“Stay calm.”
“Be patient.”
“Respond, don’t react.”

But very little of it talks about what happens when a mom is:

• Mentally overloaded
• Constantly interrupted
• Touched out
• Running on no real breaks

Irritability isn’t random—it’s a nervous system response.

When you understand that, you stop blaming yourself… and start looking at what you need and what support looks like for you.

I break this down more here:

We help overwhelmed moms / women, anxious kids and teens, and disconnected couples.

“Why am I so irritable with my kids lately?”

You’re not alone—and there is a reason for it.

Lately, everything feels like too much.

The noise.
The questions.
The constant interruptions.

And then the guilt hits:

“Why am I so irritable with my kids?”

This isn’t about being a “better” mom.

It’s about understanding what happens when your nervous system is overloaded.

I wrote this to help it actually make sense—without shame:

If you’ve been more irritable with your kids lately…

It doesn’t mean you’re a bad mom.

It usually means:

You’re overstimulated
Overextended
And running on empty

That’s not a discipline problem.

That’s a support problem.

There’s a moment a lot of moms don’t talk about.

You’re not yelling.
You’re not even doing anything “wrong.”

But everything your kids do feels… irritating.

The noise.
The questions.
The constant interruptions.

And then comes the guilt:
“Why am I like this right now?”

Here’s the truth most people miss:

It’s not about your kids.
It’s about how overloaded your system has become.

When you’re carrying the mental load, constantly needed, and rarely getting a real break—your nervous system starts to run out of capacity.

I wrote a blog post about this that explains what’s really going on (in a way that actually makes sense and doesn’t shame you).

Understanding why you feel irritable with your kids, overwhelmed, reactive, and on edge—and what’s really underneath it Why Am I So Irritable With My Kids? …

Easter can be a beautiful day… and also a full one.

There’s often so much happening behind the scenes -
the planning, the remembering, the making things feel special for everyone else.

If you find yourself holding a lot today, you’re not doing it wrong.

See if you can take one small moment just for you—
a breath, a pause, a step outside.

You’re allowed to be part of the day too, not just the one carrying it. 🤍

Happy Easter
