🚨 Severe Weather Update for Today 🚨
The National Weather Service Pittsburgh has upgraded our area to an Enhanced Risk for severe storms today.
🌩️ What this means:
• Increased potential for damaging winds
• Possibility of large hail
• Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out
⏰ Storms are expected to impact our area later today—please stay alert and have a plan in place.
✅ Safety Reminders:
• Secure outdoor items that could become projectiles
• Charge your phones and devices
• Monitor weather alerts and local updates
• Seek shelter immediately if warnings are issued
🚑 Canonsburg Ambulance Service crews are ready and standing by. Please use 911 for emergencies only and avoid unnecessary travel during severe conditions.

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded most of the local area to an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. The upgrade is due to increasing confidence in the potential for damaging wind gusts and large hail that could exceed golf ball size. A tornado or two still cannot be ruled out.

As we "Spring Forward" one hour for Daylight Saving Time, it's also the perfect reminder to take a few moments for your home safety.
The NFPA reminds us to test our smoke alarms and change their batteries if needed.
Canonsburg Ambulance also urges you to check your carbon monoxide (CO) detectors at the same time! These life-saving devices are crucial for detecting this odorless, colorless, and dangerous gas.
