Cheese board for some friends yesterday. The crescent is aged ched'dr cheeze (about 6 weeks) smoked gouda with herbs, another smoked gouda with black garlic, and some tangy cream cheese. All veggies are from our local CSA except the blue and black berries. The cheeze has ZERO OIL in it!

I did it! I made this sweet potato vegan brioche and it is fantastic! (original recipe from margo_drobi ) It came out really well. The glaze caused it to get a bit overdone on top. (Next time a bit of foil over it!) This brioche is delicious and was very easy to make. If you miss brioche and are vegan, this one is a winner!

I've been working on a powdered vegetable base to create instant broth. I typically freeze my left over pieces of onion, carrots, celery, and pretty much any other veggies to make a giant pot of broth and then freeze in smaller containers. A friend suggested I dehydrate some of the veggies and grind to a fine powder. These are the tomato skins left from making tomato elixir (Miyoko's recipe) and tomato skin powder. Let's see what we can do with this!

Dinner last night - how about some incredible yummy fresh veg from the local gardens. Slightly charred stuffed bell peppers with sweet brown arborio rice with homemade vegan sausages (no oil) and added tomato elixir (Miyoko's recipe) and veggies to it to make it scrumptious! Yummy tomato salsa to garnish. No oil in this recipe! It's a whole food plant-based dream!

I've been working on some new recipes for oil-free mayo. I've been okay with using tofu, but I am still not satisfied with the overall flavor. I am from the South and for me, I gotta have my Duke's taste in mayo!
