❄️ Cold weather has us all hunching up a little more than usual… and your neck definitely feels it.
Dr. Hill is showing an easy cervical stretch you can do at home to help relieve stiffness and tension from being bundled up all winter.

Give it a try, save this video for later, and let us know how your neck feels after! 💙
If the stiffness keeps coming back, schedule a visit and let us help you get lasting relief.

Lots of snow today! Please be careful shoveling! If you’re sore tomorrow give us a call!

Safe Shoveling Techniques

Push, Don't Lift: Use a pusher-style shovel to move snow to the side instead of lifting it.

Proper Lifting Form: If you must lift, bend at the knees, keep your back straight, and lift with your legs.

Avoid Twisting: Do not throw snow over your shoulder or twist your back; face the direction you are tossing the snow.

Small Loads: Scoop small amounts at a time, especially if the snow is wet or heavy.

Clear Early: Shovel while the snow is still fresh and light to avoid dealing with heavy, compacted, or icy snow.

Go Slow: Take breaks every 15–20 minutes to prevent overexertion.

Preparation and Safety

Warm Up: Stretch your arms, legs, and back before starting to prepare your muscles.

Wear Layers: Dress in layers to manage body heat, and avoid cotton as it absorbs moisture. Use proper traction footwear to avoid slipping.

Stay Hydrated: Drink water before, during, and after shoveling.

Know When to Stop: Listen to your body and stop if you feel pain, chest discomfort, or extreme fatigue.
