Trained in elbow, hand, and wrist treatment, Dr. Richterman prioritizes availability in his practice by being in-office every day (Monday - Friday), seeing all his own patients from initial appointments to follow-ups, and making space for emergency injuries through same-day appointments.

North Canton, OH– OASIS Surgery Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

OASIS Surgery Center underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review on 12/14/23 and 12/15/23. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with standards spanning several areas including: emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual.

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

“As a healthcare accreditor, The Joint Commission works with healthcare organizations across care settings to inspire safer and higher quality of care that is more equitable and compassionate,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission. “Through collaborating on innovative solutions and evidence-based resources and tools, The Joint Commission helps drive improvement while maintaining accountability through our leading survey methods and standards. We commend OASIS Surgery Center for its commitment to advance safety, quality, equity and compassion for all patients.”

Taco 'bout a work anniversary! This week we celebrated two huge milestones here at OASIS.

Dave, our Radiology and Facility Manager, achieved 25 years of employment! Besides Dave's exceptional leadership, his sense of humor makes coming to work an absolute delight. Thank you for keeping our spirits high!

Shannon, our OR Manager, achieved 21 years of employment! Shannon's passion for excellence continues to drive our achievements and transforms challenges into triumphs for our team. Her hard work and commitment are deeply appreciated.

Both managers go above and beyond our expectations, making them wonderful assets to OASIS. Thank you for all the amazing years and many more to come!

It's , and we're taking time to celebrate all that Dr. Kelsey O'Connor brings to the OrthoUnited team! Dr. O'Connor specializes in pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. When she's not providing patients a pathway to recovery using non-surgical methods, Dr. O'Connor enjoys tennis, golf, and cheering on her OSU Buckeyes with her husband and son.
