2025 Theme: Close the Gap, Bridge the Divide: Establish Breastfeeding Support Access
The DC Breastfeeding Coalition announces the Inaugural Deaf and Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Week! As an allied partner with the Deaf community, the Coalition fostered the initiation of the first ever Deaf and Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Collective. The purpose of this initiative is to provide the nation's marginalized and underrepresented Deaf community with accessible breastfeeding education, support, and community, because language and breastfeeding access matters from birth!

I imagine almost all of us have lost at least one person important to us. Some of us have lost grandparents, parents, siblings, partners, friends and even our own children.
Take the day to remember them. Let yourself grieve. Practice some self care. And reach out if you need help.
