The ordinary is never ordinary, Spirit hides initiations in plain sight.

Today is winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. Did you know that solstice comes from the Latin 'solstitium', bringing together the words sol (sun) and sistere (to standstill)? So let's savour a moment of stillness today and enjoy this poem...

❄️Winter Solstice❄️

Come once more, when all the rest have gone,
When blossom, leaf and fruit are packed away.
Come when slanted winter light holds sway.
Come amid bright silence. Come alone.

Come as you are, steeled against the cold.
Tread soft and slow among the naked trees.
Breathe the sparkling air with sabbath ease.
Come let this sparing time ingrain the soul.

Come the day the setting sun hangs fire,
Before its quiet climb that turns the world,
While the coiled spring is tightly furled.
Come, keep watch and catch this wild desire.

Come, and bring a new-made apple tree,
A callow stem with ancient root in union.
Dig deep, heel in, and there make your communion.

Patience visited me
And it reminded me
That good things take time to come to fruition
And grow slowly with stability

Peace visited me
And it reminded me
That I may remain calm through the storms of life
Regardless of the chaos surrounding me

Hope visited me
And it reminded me
That better times lay ahead
And it would always be there to guide and uplift me

Humility visited me
And it reminded me
That I may achieve it
Not by trying to shrink myself and make myself less
But by focusing on serving the world and uplifting those around me

Kindness visited me
And it reminded me
To be more gentle, forgiving and compassionate toward myself
And those surrounding me

Confidence visited me
And it reminded me
To not conceal or suppress my gifts and talents
In order to make others feel more comfortable
But to embrace what makes me me

Focus visited me
And it reminded me
That other people’s insecurities and judgements about me
Are not my problem
And I should redirect my attention
From others back to me

Freedom visited me
And it reminded me
That no one has control over my mindset, thoughts and wellbeing
But me

And love visited me
And it reminded me
That I need not search for it in others
As it lies within me.

I know it’s been awhile since I last posted!!
And it’s mainly been due to having so many wonderful opportunities arise late spring/early summer including a month long trip to Alaska!! plus lots of camping, swimming, hiking and kayaking!!
It’s been a whirlwind of events and time seems to be moving so quickly these days, a kind of timeless quality!!
I’m leaving this Sat. for a week at Ashokan Music and Dance Camp, lots of fiddle playing, dancing and singing!!
When i return things should calm down a bit and i will be again offering in depth Reiki and Metatron Color Healing Sessions, classes in meditation and connecting to the spiritual world, healing the inner child and a healing morning on Wednesdays for those wishing to receive upgrade/uplift, and for healing practitioners/therapists/creatives!!
So stay tuned after August 17th, 2024 when i’m back in town!!

What an amazing experience being in the path of totality!!! It was just spectacular and of course the photo cant even begin to capture the experience or visually what we saw. Right after totality or maybe right before (i cant even remember!!) i saw red light in the lower right corner of the sun aura and it turned violet. The spring peepers were out and mourning doves and we heard a neighbor’s rooster cocker doodle doing!!
The sky turned dark and temps dropped significantly and there was a 360 degree sunset close to the horizon. After totality i went for a little walk on my friend’s property and started crying. I just felt so attuned to the oneness and unity of all of creation, the trees and birds. I felt a deep energetic shift in all of my chakras and my perception. I also meditated as the moon continued to move back over the sun and the energy was just so calming and expanded.
I feel so blessed to have witnessed this!!
My crystals are out now absorbing the new sun codes!! 🧡🌜☀️🌛🧡

I kept hearing the message that i needed to spend time today at a waterfalls. And so i hiked and meditated for a long time on the rocks at Stone Valley, the sound of rushing water, the sunshine and high energy transported me into a beautiful state of oneness with myself and surroundings.
I am grateful to have such easy access to Mother Nature’s great and healing gifts!! 💚💦🌲
