Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
This week, our community was overflowing with the spirit of togetherness, gratitude, and joy. Residents, families, and team members came together to share a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner filled with laughter, meaningful conversation, and the warmth that only the holiday season can bring. It was a wonderful reminder of how lucky we are to be part of such a caring and supportive community.

The celebrations didn’t stop there, our residents also enjoyed an exclusive early preview of the floats for the Thanksgiving Parade at Detroit Parade Company. Seeing their excitement and hearing the stories this tradition brought back made the moment even more special.

As we head into the holiday, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our residents, families, team members, and community partners. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives.

Today, our community partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Canton, Michigan to host a Food Drive benefiting Open Door Ministries, a local food bank here in Canton. As a thank-you, every guest who donated non-perishable food items received a complimentary pumpkin or pecan pie, freshly baked by our Pastry Chef, Catherine.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity shown today. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and contributed. Together, we collected hundreds of canned and non-perishable items to support individuals and families in need.

Today, our community was proud to sponsor desserts for the Garden City Parks & Recreation annual Thanksgiving Luncheon!

Our talented Pastry Chef treated guests to delicious Dutch caramel apple pies, made fresh for the occasion. Guests also had the opportunity to learn more about our community, explore upcoming events, and even participate in a fun raffle.

A wonderful day celebrating connection, gratitude, and community!

🌼 It’s World Kindness Day! 🌼

Today, our community alongside our sister community, Waltonwood Cherry Hill, spent the day spreading kindness (and sweetness!) throughout Canton! 💛

We celebrated by bringing the Cinnabon truck to Optalis Health & Rehabilitation of Canton and the VA Clinic in Canton, treating all of their hardworking staff to free coffee and Cinnabons as a way to show our appreciation.

To add some extra fun, we hosted a “Spin to Win” raffle, giving everyone a chance to win awesome Detroit Lions prizes, Waltonwood swag, and poinsettias!

In celebration of Veterans Day, we hosted a special luncheon to honor all the residents who have served our country. Some of our veterans shared stories about their time in the service and what life was like after returning home. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by our amazing culinary team and some wonderful guest speakers who made the afternoon extra special.

Our community, together with our sister community Waltonwood Cherry Hill, had a wonderful time providing snacks and beverages for the Canton Club 55+ during their monthly bingo event!

Our amazing pastry chef, Catherine, baked festive sugar cookies decorated with American flags to thank and celebrate all of the brave men and women veterans for their service.

So many little ghouls and goblins filled our halls this Halloween, stopping by each door to collect candy and share smiles with our residents! Our residents absolutely loved handing out treats and seeing all the creative costumes that came through!

After the trick-or-treat fun, the celebration continued with a Halloween party just for our residents, featuring lively music, dancing, delicious appetizers, and spooky-inspired beverages.

Spooktacular sweets and plenty of treats! Our amazing Pastry Chef Catherine led a fun Halloween cake decorating masterclass, teaching guests and residents some of her favorite decorating tips and tricks! At the end of the class, each guest took home their very own decorated cupcakes.

Our residents spent the afternoon carving pumpkins and getting into the Halloween spirit! 🎃 They’re excited to welcome all the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes who will be visiting our community tomorrow for trick-or-treating with our residents.
