Our September "Everyday Hero of the Month”, Arlene, has been a care partner for the community for the past four months, bringing many years of experience and expertise with her. She has shown compassion to each of our residents, treating each one like family when she is caring for them. Arlene goes out of her way to help others. We are so excited to celebrate the Everyday Hero Award with her this month.

Have you ever seen a groundhog smile? Friends at Brookdale Canton did this week. We welcomed Stark Parks as part of our Ageless Adventures celebrating National Assisted Living Week. Krystalyn & Leslie brought a variety of animals to share with us. Everyone enjoyed the visit. Have you ever visited the Stark Park Conservation Center? They just welcomed a coyote this week.

Friends at Brookdale Canton remembered 9/11 in a special way today. We thanked our Perry Township Fire Department for all of their service to our community with Liebermann's donuts. We enjoyed our conversation with them, learning more about the department. Furthermore, we took time as a community for a moment of silence and prayer, and Danny led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. We will never forget.

Our residents at Brookdale Canton wanted to show the staff their appreciation for all they do, so they put together little snack bags to pass out. Staff appreciated their thoughtfulness and enjoyed the surprise! Bringing joy to others can be so simple.
