When we’re looking through stained glass, everything shifts.

The light hits differently. The colors deepen. The ordinary starts to feel a little more intentional… a little more sacred.

It doesn’t change what’s on the other side… it changes how we see it.

Maybe that’s what this season is about. Not fixing everything. Not having all the answers. Just learning to look through a different lens. Softer. Slower. A little more full of grace.

Because even the broken pieces can catch light in the most beautiful way.

Becoming softer where you’ve been hard.
Becoming stronger where you’ve been stretched.
Becoming someone who lets go a little easier, breathes a little deeper, and trusts that growth doesn’t always look graceful while it’s happening.

Butterflies don’t rush the process. They don’t question the cocoon. They just emerge…different, transformed, a little more beautiful than before.

So maybe this season isn’t asking you to have all the answers.

Rainy day today feels like the perfect excuse to reset the studio and our minds a little 🌧️🌿

There’s something about weather like this that naturally slows everything down…in a good way. Less rushing, less noise, more space to just breathe and reset what’s been feeling heavy or scattered.

At Leaves of the Tree, we’re using today to tidy up the space, clear out the mental clutter, and get grounded again. Balance isn’t always big or dramatic…it’s sometimes just pausing long enough to realign.

Some people see bins of supplies…

We see possibilities waiting to happen.

Layers of paint, scraps of paper, glue sticks, markers with the caps never quite fully on….organized chaos that somehow knows exactly what it’s doing.

Because in art therapy, nothing is “just supplies.” It’s choice. It’s expression. It’s a starting point when words feel too heavy.

A single thread becomes a story.
A piece of cardboard becomes a safe place to land feelings that didn’t have anywhere else to go.

And sometimes healing looks like sorting beads into tiny containers and realizing your mind feels a little less tangled afterward.

This is where we begin…messy, colorful, intentional.

And always enough. 🌱
