We're happy to introduce Renae Steffen, TBT's new Barre Instructor!

Renae has been a devoted studio participant for a year now. She believes that TBT represents community, growth, and permission to simply be human. It's a place where people can show up exactly as they are and feel supported while they move, breathe, and take care of themselves. "...spaces like this are powerful because they remind us that we don’t have to do life alone." Renae really enjoys creating a space where people can pause, reconnect with themselves, and move their bodies in a supportive and encouraging environment. She loves watching people walk in carrying the stress of the day and leave feeling lighter, stronger, and more grounded. "Being part of that shift—even in a small way—is incredibly meaningful to me," she says.

Movement has always been an important part of how Renae cares for both her physical and mental health. Whether it's yoga, strength training, or simply taking a quiet walk or hike outside, she believes movement helps reconnect the body and the mind. Renae adds, "I'm grateful to be part of a space that encourages people to slow down, breathe, and take care of themselves."

Renae maintains a certification in Barre through American Barre Technique. Join her in the studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Advanced registration at thebreathingtree.org is recommended.

Welcome to one of our new board members--Elizabeth Buczko!

Elizabeth joined the TBT board in January and is excited for her new role. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and bodyworker with a focus in nervous system regulation and healing as it relates to stress and overwhelm in the body. Elizabeth practices therapeutic massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) and other energy-healing modalities in her private studio in Canton.

Prior to becoming a bodyworker she had a long career in business and technology as a consultant and obtained her MBA from Bradley University. She has had the pleasure of contributing as a board member of many organizations over the years and sincerely looks forward to serving The Breathing Tree, its members and patrons, and the community.

Elizabeth grew up in Canton and spent many years living in other cities until she returned in 2013. She was "beyond thrilled" to see TBT established and its growth into such a community asset. When asked what TBT means to her, Elizabeth writes, " I love that TBT offers such a variety of wonderful classes and workshops led by very skilled teachers, and that (the studio) continues to pave the way for more practitioners to become trained and certified, which not only benefits the practitioner and their own personal growth, but also gives our community members so many more options for nurturing their own health here locally."

Be sure to say "hello" to Elizabeth and ask her about what's happening at the studio when you see her next!
