Silent reflux doesn’t feel like heartburn, and that’s what makes it tricky.
Also known as laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), silent reflux happens when stomach acid travels up to the throat and voice box, often without the classic burning sensation.
Because it’s “silent,” many people don’t realize reflux is the cause and it’s often mistaken for allergies or sinus issues.
If these symptoms linger or keep coming back, we can help identify silent reflux and create a treatment plan to protect your throat and voice.

If it feels like children get ear infections way more often than adults, you are right. Their ears are still growing and developing, which makes them more vulnerable.

The biggest reason is the Eustachian tube, the tiny passage that connects the middle ear to the back of the throat. In children, it is shorter, narrower, and positioned more horizontally. That makes it harder for fluid to drain and easier for germs to get trapped. Add in developing immune systems, more exposure to colds at school and daycare, and it becomes the perfect recipe for repeat infections.

So if your little one keeps tugging at their ears, complaining of pain, or having trouble hearing you, it is not just “another cold.” It may be an ear infection that needs attention. Our team is here to diagnose the problem and help prevent future flare ups so your child can feel comfortable again.

Cold weather and dry indoor air can dry out the delicate lining inside your nose, making nosebleeds more common this time of year. Here are a few simple steps that can help keep them away.
If nosebleeds are frequent, hard to stop, or happening on one side only, it may be time to see an ENT. We can help find the cause and prevent future episodes. We’re here for you! 770-345-6600
