BREAKING UPDATE:
Recent Van Zandt County Vehicle Burglaries Suspect Vehicle Crashes Out During Pursuit in Montgomery County
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXASโSplendora PD was involved in a pursuit with the white F150 that was caught in surveillance footage and shared online that is suspected to be involved in several vehicle burglaries in and around Van Zandt County, including Rains County and Hopkins County as well.
I spoke with someone at SPD and it has been confirmed that this was the same white Ford F150 identified locally, although he was tight-lipped regarding details of the investigation due to the ongoing status of the inquiry.
What I could confirm was that the truck wrecked out during the pursuit with SPD and 4 occupants fled and are currently at large. No details were given as to why SPD engaged the truck, or any details discovered at the crash sight. I was told that this was a multi-agency investigation and that details werenโt readily available to press at the moment as the situation is investigated.
He did confirm that the license plate on the F150 was not registered to that vehicle. Not mentioned were any suspect names nor suspected current locations.
I left my email and a request for further information with Splendora PD so I can update as this story develops.
Splendora is 207 miles south of Grand Saline on HWY 59 towards Houston.
